About the History quiz
History is the long category — empires rise, leaders fall, and most of what we know fits into a handful of turning points. The Curiquiz History quiz focuses on those turning points and the people who lived them, rather than every date in a textbook.
Easy covers the headline events most people meet in school: world wars, famous monarchs, the founding moments of major countries. Medium adds the connective tissue — revolutions, treaties, colonial empires, and the ancient civilisations that quietly shaped the world. Hard digs into specific battles, lesser-known leaders, and the cultural and economic forces behind them.
Play it slow to learn, or fast to find out who in your family actually paid attention in class.
What's inside
- •Ancient civilisations: Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, Mesopotamia
- •Medieval kingdoms and great empires
- •Revolutions: American, French, Industrial, Russian
- •World Wars and the 20th century
- •Famous leaders, treaties and turning-point battles
Tips for a higher score
- •Group events by century — the 1910s, 1940s and 1960s do a lot of heavy lifting.
- •Treaty names usually point to the city where they were signed.
- •When stuck on a war, ask who fought whom before you guess the date.
