About the Music quiz
Music is unfair — there's about a hundred years of recorded sound to know, plus everything before that. Our Music quiz won't pretend to cover all of it, but it picks the moments and names that genuinely shaped what we listen to today.
Easy is the radio side of things: the giant pop and rock acts, the songs you can hum without thinking. Medium widens the net — hip-hop pioneers, R&B, country, and the producers who quietly built the sound of a decade. Hard is for the music obsessives: instruments and notation, opera, jazz standards, classical periods, and the deep history of the album as an art form.
Great for solo learning, even better as a tiebreaker when your friends argue about who really invented a genre.
